Panel discussion organized to talk on ‘Hospitality Trend and Opportunities in Nepal’

Kathmandu, August 22, 2016: A panel discussion has recently been organized in the capital to discuss on hospitality trend and opportunities in Nepal and various other underlying issues.

In the programme organized by the Mid-Valley International College (MVIC), 5 personalities from different arenas talked about the contemporary hospitality leadership, challenges, opportunities and futuristic view to the newcomers in the business and students.

Dr. Yogendra Shakya, Chairman of Ace Hotels and Resorts; Mr. Upaul Majumdar, General Manager, Soaltee Crowne Plaza; Mr. Raj Gyawali, Proprietor of Social Tours; Ms. Shobha Rayamjhi, Owner & Manager, 1905 Restaurant and Mr. Bijay Amatya, CEO, Kora Tours put forward their ideas on the topic among the hundreds of enthusiasts and students participating in the programme.

Talking about the idea of organizing the programme, Ms. Reetal Rana, Managing Director at MVIC said that it is great for the future contributors in the sector to hear from these amazing personalities who have been shaping the country’s hospitality industry and making a significant contribution to the country’s tourism. “We hope that sharing of the experiences by the panelists in the programme is highly beneficial to all the participants and encourage them to move forward,” she added.

The programme sought to provide an opportunity to share the experiences and thoughts of today’s hospitality industry makers to the future movers.
