Kathmandu, April 29,2015: A total of 101 aftershocks measuring above 4 in the Richter scale have been recorded as of Wednesday since the first earthquake on Saturday. The first earthquake with Gorkha as the epicenter recorded 7.8 in the Richter scale.
The latest aftershock was recorded at 5:03 pm this afternoon with Sindhupalchowk as the epicenter and measuring 4.2 in the Richter scale, according to the National Seismology Centre. Prior to that, 4 Richter scale aftershock was recorded at 4:44 pm with Nuwakot as the epicenter, said Chief of the Centre, Lok Bijaya Adhikari.
The number as well as the scale of the aftershocks is gradually on the decline, said Adhikari.
