111 LIBRARIES HANDED OVER TO SCHOOLS

Palpa, Sept 17: One hundred and eleven libraries operated by Backward Society Education (BASE) in the district have been handed over to different schools.

BASE had brought into operation the libraries in the schools of the district to help cultivate habit of reading among students.
BASE Palpa Coordinator Tek Bahadur Dhega said they have aimed at setting up 55 primary schools library, 26 lower secondary schools library and 30 secondary schools library to promote reading culture in the district.

It costs Rs 300,000 for the set up of a library in lower secondary, Rs 400,000 for a library in lower secondary and Rs 500,000 for secondary school, said coordinator Dhega.
