Kathmandu, February 15, 2016:Â During the 12 th South Asian Games in Shillong, India, Nepal finished second to win a silver medal in women’s football. Nepal lost to hosts India 0-4 in the final held on Monday.
Prior, Nepal won three matches crushing Sri Lanka 4-0, Bangladesh 3-0 and Maldives 2-0, and played a goalless draw against India to achieve the last.Â
In the women’s football category Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka competed.
The match was held in the astro-turf football pitch of the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong.Â
