Kathmandu, July 8: The Nepal Association of Rafting Agents (NARA) is going to organize the 27th Rafting Festival on July 11 in the Trishuli River.
Organizing a press conference here today, President of NARA Chandra Bahadur Dahal shared that the festivity was organized with an objective to encourage the development of rafting following the April 25 quake.
Some 500 participants between the age 12 to 70 years, could take part in the rafting competition, it was shared.
Organizers have arranged the participants facilities as transportation and food. The festival is estimated to cost Rs 1.2 million.
Stating that no seriously unfavorable incidents have occurred until the 26th rafting festival, President Dahal said that all the safety measures were observed for the upcoming festival.
