2nd Annual Asian Economic Diplomatic Conference to be organized in KTM

Kathmandu, April 19, 2016: With the slogan of ‘Building economic synergies and networks for growth’, a Premier Think-Tank of Nepal- AIDIA is going to organize the 2nd Annual Asian Economic Conference on 29th of April in Kathmandu.

The conference aims to seek creative engagement that can contribute to new and innovative ideas that will lead to the creation of sustainable economic relationships across the region. It will provide a platform for political leaders, bureaucrats, investors, industrialists and thought leaders across Asia and ensure better trade, connectivity and investment opportunities that helps to lead to shared prosperity, stability and development across the Asian continent. The conference dwells upon the processes to internationalize Nepal’s economy to allow it to grow faster. It further seeks to forge better integration and connectivity in the neighborhood to a strong regional economic bloc and establishing economic ties across the continent and globally.

Asian Institute for Diplomacy and International Affiars (AIDIA), a foreign policy think-tank established in the year 2014 had organized the first edition of the conference in 2015 with Mr. Surendra Pandey – former Finance Minister of Nepal, His Excellency Ranjit Rae – Ambassador of India to Nepal, Her Excellency Rensje Teerink – Ambassador of Delegation of EU to Nepal among many other high-profile dignitaries as speakers in the event. Around 500 participants from Government, Financial Institutions, I/NGOs, Political Parties, Academic Institutions and Diplomatic Missions had attended the conference.
