Kathmandu, November 24, 2017: Presidential Business School is set to host the second episode of the talk show ‘The Breakers’, under the theme ‘The Silence Breaker’ to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Among the speakers are Menuka Thapa and Mohana Ansari. Thapa is the Founder of the Non-Government Organization, Raksha Nepal which is working to empower the girls and women who were forced to work as prostitutes, victims of rapes or any kind of sexual violence whereas Ansari is a well-known rights activist and Nepal’s only Female Attorney from the Muslim community.
According to the organizers, the program is a platform to cherish the stories of wonderful journey of the change, courage and hope. It aims to raise public awareness about gender-based violence and inspire others to bring about affirmative change in the society.
Along with the stories of the brave heart that broke the chains that were holding them back, the program will feature acts related to the theme performed by the students.
