Kathmandu, Aug. 6: The meeting of the Legislature-Parliament on Wednesday has unanimously endorsed the proposal seeking consideration on Anti-Witchcraft (Crime and Punishment) Bill-2071.

Speaker Subas Nembang had presented the proposal in the meeting.

Likewise, the meeting also unanimously approved the proposal on Local Self-Governance (First Amendment) Bill-2071 tabled by Deputy Prime Minster and Minister for Federal Affairs and Lcoal Development Prakash Man Singh today.

The DPM had tabled the proposal asking to send it to respective committee for discussion prior to endorsement. Similarly, the meeting also unanimously passed a proposal on the bill on amending some Nepall Acts to maintain gender equality and end gender-based violence-2071 and bill on amending and abrogating some Nepal Acts-2071. In this connection, the proposal was tabled asking to send the Bills to respective committees for discussion. Minister for law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Narahari Acharya had tabled the proposals in the parliament. RSS
