Malala is known for her activism on girls education. She was once listed in “The 100 Most Influential People in the World”. She was born at swat valley in Pakistan where girls at times were banned to attend school. In early 2009, at the age of 11–12, Yousafzai wrote a blog under a false name for the BBC detailing how girls are deprived from getting education at her valley. She was shot on her head for taking such action. But she survived and continued her journey. She used to speak for the rights of children specially girls to get education. She was the winner of Pakistan’s first National Youth Peace Prize. She had been nominated two times before also as the candidate of Nobel Peace Prize. She is the youngest person to win Nobel Prize for her heroic acts. She is 17 now. She strongly says, : “one teacher, one book and one man can change the world.”
