Kathmandu, February 16, 2018: Everest Nepal Cultural group is set to organize the ninth iteration of the International Folk Festival from March 1 to March 10, 2018.This ten-day event will commune participants showcasing folk dances, songs and represent their home cultures.
Three hundred performers from Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Costa Rica, Italy, Israel, Estonia, Greece, Indonesia will be participating in the event. This festival will be held at Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Gaidakot, and Pokhara. Foreign artists will also mark their presence to perform and spread their words at various schools from the valley.
The main aim of the event is to promote and preserve Nepal’s diverse cultural heritage. It aims to bring out understanding and promoting folk traditions from both home and abroad. The group has expected to grow itself and promote its major goal through this event.
The festival takes place in every two years. Since 2002, the festival has already brought in 3500 performers from 35 countries. The Everest Nepal Cultural Group has been running its verities of cultural activities within the country as well as all over the world for decades. It has got experiences in the cultural exchanges with various international communities. It therefore, has a genuine scope and ability to promote the national and international cultural exchange program for the benefit of the people of Nepal and the world.
