Kathmandu, May 1,2015: The Home Ministry has updated the number of deaths caused by the April 25 earthquake and the aftershocks at 6,204.
The Ministry recently stated that 13,932 people were injured in the catastrophe. Similarly, 10,394 government offices were completely damaged while 13,880 received partial damages.
As many as 138,182 houses belonging to people were completely damaged in the quake while 122,694 got partial damages.
According to the Home Ministry, 52 persons died and 309 got injury in the eastern region, while more than 5,735 died and 12,403 got injuries in central region; 415 died and 1,196 received injury in the western region; two died and 24 got injury in the mid-western region. There was no casualty in the far-western region.
