Kathmandu: COTIVITI wins the 2nd Annapurna Sampurna YL Cup Corporate Nonprofit Women Futsal Tournament held at Bhotebahal Futsal on 18th May 2019. COTIVITI beat CloudFactory in the final match to claim the title.
The finale between COTIVITI and CloudFactory turned out a high-intensity match where both the teams played in Full-attack mode.
At the last minute of the match, Rashmi Maharjan from
COTIVITI scored the Tournament winning goal and COTIVITI lifted the trophy by winning the finale. The last-minute thriller helped COTIVITI beat CloudFactory.
Rumina Shakya from CloudFactory became the highest goal scorer. Similarly, Shreya Shrestha from COTIVITI clinched the title of the best player of the tournament.
According to a representative from Youth Legend, “We realized that corporate level sports tournament were being held only for men. We understood the importance of sports tournament in developing leadership skills, team-building skills thus, we wanted to break the typical gender stereotype so we started organizing corporate futsal for women since last year.”
Nine teams from different backgrounds like banks, IT companies, media houses, and other corporate houses participated in the event. CloudFactory, NMB Bank, COTIVITI and NIBL bank progressed towards the semi-finals while COTIVITI stole the show by its outstanding performance.
The event organized by Youth Legend proved to be successful in helping women move ahead in all the parts of life including sports.
