“If you feel like there’s something out there that you’re supposed to be doing, if you have passion for it, then stop wishing and just do it.” —Wanda Sykes

Living in Nepal and trying to chase your dream can be a disheartening. Sometimes, it’s really difficult to live your dreams because there comes lots of challenges and hurdles. So many peers leaving abroad for higher studies, those who have stayed back in the country are full of doubts. However, Passion is one great force that unleashes creativity because if you’re passionate about something, then you’re most likely to take risks. There was a time once when I was asked what I wanted to be in future. The most likely answers to this questions were doctor, engineer, pilot, nurse; we wanted to be white collar workers. Even I used to say I want to become a doctor when I grow up and now I feel that was the time when I couldn’t understand myself. Slowly and gradually, I discovered my passion towards protecting environment and I pursued my studies that was relevant to my dream.

I am sure you will agree when I say, Passion drives our actions. Someone said, “Passion is energy.” The more passionate you are about yourself, your work, your life, or whatever it is that you are doing, the more positive energy you give off. True happiness comes when you do what you are most passionate about. Passion shapes our existence, fuels the fire of inspirations, open us to opportunities. Passion is all about enthusiasm and excitement for something in life. It doesn’t have to be exceptional and excellent at first. You can fulfil your passion steps by steps.

Nowadays, in the youth circle new passion has been discovered unlike stereotype ambitions. Some wants to become a photographer while some a dancer, some want to make singing as their life career, some as entrepreneurs. Some dreams to to become an actor, some to become a popular writer, some wants to go in public service and some into business field too. Also the perception of Nepalese society is changing. They understand that it is not necessarily needed just to include basic aims as your passion.

If you want to be a footballer, you don’t need a brand new shoes to start on your dreams. If you want to be a photographer, you don’t need DSLR camera, you can show your photography skills even through your phone. You should start with what you have and wholeheartedly put effort to make it a success. The hard work you put will pay off one day. A person who wants to live their dreams need to work hard being dedicated and with full determination. Once you find your true passion, go for it and pull out all the stops.

Nothing is superior to passion. No matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate about it. If you have a concrete dream, work on it and turn it into reality with a good plan of action that is coupled with a burning passion. There is always a way out to turn to be real successful. But we need to remember is that which you follow your passion, you can encounter struggles. Passion gives you the motivation to keep trying, even if you fail multiple times. Obstacles and barriers come in your way but we need to learn to tackle them in order to reach our goal. Therefore, Passion do matters a lot. Therefore do the things that you love.
