77.8 % population has access to communication in Myagdi district

Myagdi, November 16,2017: At least 88,000 people in Myagdi district have access to communication service.

As per the census of 2011, of 113,641 population in Myagdi, 77.8 percent or 88,399 people have access to communication service, according to Nepal telecom Office, Myagdi, data of the fiscal year 2016/17.

There are 69,186 prepaid mobile users and 15,263 sky phone users in the district, said the Telecom Office. Chief of Nepal Telecom, Myagdi, Bishnu Dev Shah, said that 1,678 people are using post-paid mobile service with 1,306 landline phone users and 509 CDMA users in the district.

Similarly, there are 430 unlimited internet users through ADSL at Beni Bazaar, Galeshwor and Ghorepani.

The Nepal Telecom, Myagdi, has forwarded a plan to establish Base transceiver station (BTS) at eight different places in the district. The Telecom claimed that almost all population of the district has access to communications. There are also Ncell mobile users in the district.
