7th China Festival kicks off in Capital

    Kathmandu, December 19, 2016: The 7th China Festival and 2nd Kathmandu Cultural Forum has kicked off in the Capital from today. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and the Embassy of China have jointly organized the festival.

    The festival was inaugurated by the visiting Communist Party of China secretariat member Liu Qibao in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Krishna Bahadur Mahara.

    Addressing the program, Minister of State for Culture Indra Bahadur Baniya shared that both countries share age-old historical and cultural ties.

    The festival will continue for three days. According to organizer, representatives from South Asian countries are also attending the seminar. Cultural exchange among other issues will be discussed in the festival.
