Damascus, April 8, 2015: A car bomb burst through a military checkpoint overnight in the central province of Hama where at least 10 Syrian soldiers were killed and many others were wounded, as reported by a monitoring group on Wednesday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated the car bomb detonated at a checkpoint in the Sahl el-Ghab area in the countryside of Hama. It also added that the blast occurred after midnight.
Without further explanation, the state news agency SANA also reported,   “It left many martyrs and injuries.â€
Meantime, the Observatory also added the Syrian air force released crude barrel bombs after midnight on the towns of Sayad in the northern countryside of Hama and it had been witnessing ongoing aerial bombardment for months.
Hama has been a site for ongoing battles as any other province in Syria. The battles often take place between the government troops and groups of jihadist and rebel militants, generally in the northern countryside, close to the northwestern city of Idlib.
