Glocal Teen Hero Top 6 Finalist
An 18-years-old youth, originally from Dang, Sachin Dangi, is a professional programmer, blogger, and, social and scientific entrepreneur.
Having completed his secondary education from KMC School and high school from Xavier International College, Sachin is currently the President of Teenage Society of Nepal, an online group of over 5000 Nepali teenagers seeking to contribute for a social cause. At this point, he is sketching plans for ‘7 days 7 heritage’ project and running ‘Human Right Awareness’ project, and briefing about all articles written in human right deceleration forum to teens in Nepal and abroad.
Abiding by his great love for social and humanitarian work, he was a part of Nepal Scout Earthquake Rescue Team and Corona Nepal Post Earthquake Trauma Relief Team in 2015 after the massive earthquake hit Nepal. He was even inspiring his friends to join the rescue mission.
He was also the national delegate of First Nepal-Bangladesh Youth Conclave and Nepal-India Bilateral Talk, drafting resolutions about SDGs. The platform helped his establish himself as an iinfluential teenager.
A dedicated person enriched with self-esteem, Dangi, says, “I am not a child prodigy but not less than them because of my commitment and determination. I want to be a role-model for teenagers who want to do something.”
He is also the Ambassador of OYA Opportunities for Nepal and a young scientist at Kaicho Group Nepal. He has been helping to inspire the number of teens in Nepal. In a quest to boost digitalization of Nepal, through Kaicho Nepal, he has developed and installed smart attendance systems in schools, developed motion sensor brakes and many others. Also continuing with his passion for social welfare, he and his team are teaching students Aurdino programming for free.
Dangi is very interested in the field of theoretical physics and hopes to carry himself as a social worker along with his scientific endeavors. “I want to see myself as a globally loved persona and sensation, risen from the community giving contributions in the field of science and social welfare,” he shared to Glocal Khabar.
Being the national delegate from Nepal for Asian Science Camp IISC, Bangalore, he also got an opportunity to be in a researched team with Nobel Laurates for about one week. Later, he also won the 1st position in overall category in IOE Pulchowk Mechtrix 2017. Not limiting his participation in the field of science, he also represented Nepal for Quazi Crystals Convention, where his team found solutions to entrepreneurship limitations in Nepal with Nobel laureate Dan Scheztmen. Besides, he is also a passionate blogger, and an avid MUNer and debater.
