Bhadrapur, 18 January, 2015Â : The District Police Office, Jhapa, has arrested a bus driver, who had been absconding after knocking down two persons to death, today.
The arrested is Bhim Bahadur Rajbansi. The bus (Me 1 Kha 423) that Rajbansi was driving towards Baniyani from Birtamod hit a motorcycle (Ko 4 Pa 4080) at Bhadrapur
Municipality on Saturday afternoon.
The pillion rider Jay Kattel, 42, of Baniyani died on the spot in the accident while the motorcyclist Gopal Mandal, 52, died Saturday night while undergoing treatment at Siliguri, India.
Likewise, a local Sumitra Rai, 70, was injured in the accident.
Locals and relatives of the deceased obstructed traffic at Chandragadhi bazaar this afternoon demanding action against the guilty and compensation to the victim families.
