Achham, Aug. 6: The Achham Police have arrested Raj Bahadur Budha of Kalikot who swindled the people by impersonating himself as the Assistant Sub-Inspector of the National Investigation Department. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested Budha, 28, a permanent resident of Kumalgaun-4, from Kaledanda-6, the remote village of Achham.
He entered the village and attempted to cheat the locals claiming that he was a police officer at the NID.
The Kaledanda folks smelt a rat looking at his conduct and appearance in the village and informed the police.
He allegedly looted the people of Surkhet, Dailekh and Kalikot as well by offering them tainted biscuits. The Achham Police have handed him to the Area Police Office, Rakam Dailkeh to take him to Kalikot, according to the District Police Office Achham.
It may be noted that cases of looting and theft are on the rise in the district of late. RSS
