Beni, September 10:Â VDCs which had been declared as the open defection free is facing the acute shortage of water supply. According to the locals, due to this problem the results for the toilets built campaign is not being worthy.
A local resident said-“Â The majority of the villages in ARMAN VDC is facing the shortage of drinking water and using toilets.” Similarly, locals of MUNA VDC have to travel for long hours to fetch a pot of drinking water.
The problem seems to be less in rainy seasons. Likewise, Lulang, Gurja and other VDCs in west MYAGDI too are suffering from the scarcity of drinking water.
Since, the ODF declaration have a main motive for regular drinking water supply but the concerned authorities have failed to fill up the needs though they had promised.
