ACUTE SHORTAGE OF DRINKING WATER IN JAJARKOT HOSPITAL

Jajarkot, Aug. 11: The Jajarkot District Hospital has been facing acute shortage of drinking water for past three years.

The hospital is facing acute shortage of drinking water after the pipeline bringing water to the hospital snapped at different places.

With this, the patients have been facing incontinences as well as the hospital employees have been hit hard. The hospital needs 5,000 litres of water every day.

Rabin BK of Laha said that they have been compelled to bring water from hospital even to take medicine, otherwise there was no alternative to it. Problem has surfaced to cook food for patients as well as in toilet due to an acute shortage of water, it is learnt.

The hospital is reeling under the crisis of drinking water due to leakage of drinking water as no body has paid attention to carryout repair and maintenance works of the broken pipeline. More than 25 patients are admitted daily in this hospital.
