KABUL, April 10, 2015: 12 militants associated with Taliban had been killed in Afghanistan since Wednesday as per the official sources.
According to the country’s Defence Ministry, the Afghan army operated assaults in Nangarhar, Khost, Zabul and Samangan provinces within the last 24 hours that killed 4 militants. It also added that 4 more were wounded and 5 suspects were captured.
20 bombs and landmines had been defused by the army special engineering teams over the same period as reported by the statement.
The provincial government spokesman Zia Yaqubi told Xinhua on Thursday, 8 militants lost their lives and a policeman was wounded after the militants started attacking on security checkpoints in Zana Khan district in eastern Ghazni province overnight Wednesday.
