Nepalgunj, August 12: Normal life has largely been affected due to an agitation enforced by local people for the third consecutive day, demanding 10 districts from Kanchanpur in the far-west to Chitwan in the east to be made separate Tharuhat state in the new federal set-up.
Daily wagers are among those mostly affected by the strike as they are struggling to manage a square meal a day due to the strike.
Likewise, people heading to different parts of the area have been stranded midway as vehicles to and from Nepalgunj have not plied the road as a result.
Similarly, educational institutions and industries remained shut in Banke district while vehicles plied the road partially.
