Ajit Sah’s solo exhibition starts

Kathmandu, March 1, 2016: A solo Mithila painting exhibition titled Harmony by artist Ajit Kumar Sah was inaugurated at a ceremony held at Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal on February 27. The inauguration was done by Former Chief Justice of Nepal Khil Raj Regmi.
The exhibition is part of the Year of Harmony 2016 campaign which is a combined initiative of Kathmandu-based organisations such as Global Peace Foundation Nepal, Joint Youth and Students Platform, Tour de Lumbini and Lumbini World Peace Forum. It aims to build a youth
coalition as well a platform to raise awareness of peace, nonviolence and social justice. The exhibition kicked off in the presence of notable names Sharada Chitrakar, Megh Ale, Edward Wyne, Chiranjivi Khanal, Navaraj Bhatta, Indira Joshi, Ganesh Shah, WM Seneviratne, and the like.
Sah, whose works till date have been rooted in Mithila culture, adds new dimensions to the Mithila culture with Harmony. On exhibit are more than 20 paintings. The event was organised by Lumbini World Peace Forum in association with Nepal Academy of Fine Arts and will continue till March 1.
