Bhimduttanagar, 8 April, 2015 :Â Kanchanpur district suffered a loss of Rs 500,000 in the trade of vegetables on Tuesday due to general strike called by the 30-Party Alliance led by the UCPN (Maoist), according to Kanchanpur Vegetables Entrepreneurs’ Association.
Association Chairman Tarfaraj Bhatta said that only four tonnes of vegetables was sold from the vegetable market on Tuesday against the daily sales of nine tonnes.
Sale of vegetables was decreased at different places including Belauri, Punarbas and Jhalari due to the general strike, according to the Association.
