14 April,2015: Anil Kapoor, who plays the role of Kamal Mehra in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming family drama, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, hosted a special screening of the film’s trailer at his residence on Monday night (April 13).
The soirée saw a large turnout from the film fraternity including Priyanka Chopra, who plays his daughter Ayesha Mehra in the film. The actress had her mother Madhu Chopra and brother Siddharth in tow.
Priyanka, who recently returned from the US after wrapping up her show ‘Quantico’, also shared pics from the party.
Actor Arjun Kapoor, his sister Anshula, father Boney Kapoor, his wife Sridevi also made it. Filmmakers Karan Johar, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Farah Khan and of course Zoya Akhtar, director of ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, attended the trailer screening.
Ranveer Singh, who plays the role of Kabir, was missing from the scene. The actor is currently recuperating after a successful shoulder surgery, following an injury on the sets of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and is virtually under ‘house arrest.’
Starring Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Shefali Shah and Boman Irani, ‘Dil Dhadkane Do’ revolves around a family on a cruise holiday. The trailer will release on April 15 and the film is slated to hit cinemas on June 5.
