Anil Pradhan : An Eccentric Inventor

Anil Pradhan, a 16 years old young inventor has always been keened about how the combination of screws and motors work together to solve the basic problems of human. He is a resident of Bhadrapur, Jhapa who is currently enrolled in Shree Gyan Sarovar Niketan Secondary School. Highly interested in science, technology and robotics, Anil has invented a Bomb Disposal Robot and Remote Control Robot that is used in agricultural sector to spray pesticides and can also be used in fishing farm and paddy plantation. His another considerable invention is 3rd eye project for blind people with which helps the differently abled persons tackle obstacle using this device.

Starting of his journey

Anil shared his story as,“Since childhood, I was very interested to know all the things related to various electronic gadgets. So whenever I got the chance, I used to break them and try to understand the functions of every parts”. He further said,”Once there was a science exhibition in my college where I saw a robotic project that was made by an engineering student named Tarun Roy. That project really inspired me in the field of robots. I have been self learning since grade 9 and my very first success project was a smart phone controlled robotic car.

 

Making a difference

When asked about his contribution in the society, this young teen hero explains,“I am working in different schools of my Municipality in Bhadrapur where I give classes  regarding science and technology”.He believes that many teeenagers are capable to invent many things in the early age. They only need proper guidance and education.

He is also working with ‘Daari Gang, Bigyan Abhiyan’ where they prepare students to make robot and help them to participate in different competition representing their respective schools.

“I think my creations are useless if I am unable to impact in the society. I am really proud of my project: 3rd eye which is also called as smart glass for the blind people. They can become more independent and need not to use the stick for the support. Similarly, my another project: Home automation system can be used to save the electricity because from this system , we can control all the lights and fan via smartphones,” he said.

A step towards teen hero

Anil is very grateful to his brother and Glocal’s 20 under 20, 2017 Nabin Gautam who introduced him about the Glocal Teen Hero and helped in the application process. He said, “As I am one of the Gocal’s 20under20, now I am more confident towards my dream. I want to form a single large group in Jhapa where I can gather many young creative students from different schools and work together for the development of science and technology of our country.”

Anil is a hardworking youth who knows what is his passion and uses that strength to bring a change in the society. His efforts to train other teenagers to create a skillful and advanced workforce is really inspiring to many of us and shares a hope that, when there is a will there’s a way.
