Animal Rights Day observed in Chitwan with a Rally to aware people about Animal Welfare

Bharatpur, Decemeber 10, 2017: In the occasion of’ International Animal Rights Day, Animal Rights Club Nepal successfully organized a rally to aware people about the occasion in Bharatpur.

The rally was supported of International Veterinary Student Society (Rampur), Union of Veterinary and Agriculture Student (Rampur), Better Chitwan, Brotherhood and Sisterhood Nepal, Brothers Nepal, Rotaract Club of Narayangadh, One Foot Forward and Nepal Veterinary Students Union.

The rally comprised of the play cards which read slogans favoring the animals regarding the topics of their welfare. According to one of the activist Sagar Karki, more than fifty youths, as well as organizations, participated in the rally.

Speaking about the program, the coordinator Surajan Shrestha said, “Animal Welfare is an issue that needs to be addressed quickly. Importantly, we should make clear guidelines for managing the transportation of animals like buffalo and chickens. The condition is disgusting and we want to pressurize the authority to overcome the situation.”

Similarly, the head of Animal Rights Club, Kamal Subedi orated about the participation of youths and awareness among them is an important step to bring a positive change. Subedi committed to take the subject to the animal rights welfare officer and work for its further development.

Since the last six years, the organization has been working for animal rights and conservation. They have been working with various volunteers and organizations to provide therapeutic services to the injured animals.
