Kathmandu, Jan 28: The All Nepal National Independent Student Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) demanded the government end the shortage of LP Gas in the market.
The students associated with the Unified CPN (Maoist)’s student organization, ANNISU-Revolutionary, organised a rally carrying empty LP Gas cylinders marched from Maitighar Mandala to the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Office, Babarmahal. They also held a corner assembly in front of the NOC office.
They demanded an end to the black marketing and artificial shortage chanting various slogans in the rally.
Speaking at the Corner Assembly, ANNISU-revolutionary Coordinator Ramesh Malla demanded implementation of the dual price system and an end to the artificial shortage seen in the market.
He also urged the government to take action against the gas entrepreneurs who created artificial shortage of cooking gas in the market claiming that the gas users failed to get the commodity as the gas entrepreneurs promoted black marketing.
