Rewarding the National Heroes of ICT sectors in Nepal
Kathmandu, July 5, 2017: I C Tech Media Pvt. Ltd. is all set to host the Living with ICT Awards Event Program entitled ‘ICT Award 2017’ on August 18, 2017 to award the National Heroes of IT Sectors in Nepal.
There are numerous young Enthusiastic newcomers and others who have devoted their lives towards Information Technology sector in Nepal to bring us all together and create a closer community. Technology can help make our lives easier and is the key to creating a highly sustainable society. Although we are a long way away, we Nepalese have shown an inclination to easy adoption of technology and the organizers of the award believe this will contribute significantly to the growth and prosperity of our nation in the coming years.
Sasto Deal, Kul Techno Lab, Yellow Nepal and Smart Samaj were awarded with the ICT Startup Award last year. Similarly, Muni Bahadur Shakya, the first computer scientist of Nepal was honored with the ICT Pioneer Award.
The ICT Award this year will also give tokens of appreciation to people that have devoted their lives to the IT sector in Nepal.
The award ceremony on August 18 will have smaller events within the event like new product launches; documentaries on the stories of the top 3 selected individuals in each category and a LIVE Music and Entertainment programme.
Award categories:
BEST START-UP COMPANY ICT AWARD 2017
This award will be awarded to one up and coming start-up ICT based company which has demonstrated growth within the organization and has created a business model we believe can be successful in the long run.
BEST INNOVATIVE PRODUCT ICT AWARD 2017
This award will be awarded to one innovative product coming out of ICT based company that we believe has the potential to impact businesses in the long run and make an impact in the lives of the mass population.
ICT PIONEER AWARD 2017
This award will be awarded to one individual who has contributed significantly in the promotion and development of ICT long since. We try to unveil such personality who has remained behind the scene but his/her contributions are unprecedented and undisputed.
BEST NEPALI DIASPORA ICT AWARD 2017
This award will be awarded to one Nepali origin person who, though has remained outside but has made remarkable imprint in the international arena and has helped identify the country as internationally competent in global stage.
ICT SCHOLAR AWARD 2017
This award will be honored to the creative scholar for their innovation on IT sector during their education up to graduation. Only fulltime and regular student will be eligible for award.
