Apprenticeship program launched in province 1


Kathmandu, July 27, 2018: An apprenticeship (industry-based skills training) programme was inaugurated by Minister for Social Development of Province 1 Jeevan Ghimire, in the presence of other ministers from the state, Swiss Ambassador to Nepal Elisabeth Von Capeller, representatives of local government, representatives from industries and experts from Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Sector. The program was launched in Province 1 on Thursday.

The program aims to blend institution-based and industry-based learning that impart skills and simultaneously prepares individual for jobs and career growth. Also, it aims to provide apprenticeships to 1,500 youth by 2019.

The launch of the apprenticeship programme was jointly organised by Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and the Man Mohan Polytechnic (MMP) Institute, Hattimuda, Morang of Province 1.
