Kathmandu,2 Nov 2014: The government has been renovating and repaired different historical and archaeological sites in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhakapur districts.

These sites are being renovated considering the visit of the Heads of State and Government to these sites during the SAARC summit to be held in Kathmandu on 26 and 27 November.

Spokesperson at the Archeological Department, Ram Bahadur Kunwar said that the Bhaktapur, Patan and Hanuman Dkola Durbar squares, Changunarayan, Swayambhu and Bauddhanath areas are being repaired and renovated in the eve of the SAARC summit.

A budget of Rs 16.2 million has been allocated for the purpose.The repair works of these sites would be completed by November 23, Kunwar added.
