Pyuthan,19 Dec 2014: Uddav Poudel of Nawalparasi and a family of Dilliraj Acharya of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, who visited Swargadwari temple in Pyuthan district four years ago, had hardly spent two days here for lack of food and accommodation.
However, the family of Dilliraj again visited the temple after four years and the family stayed for three days here. The family did not only view different mountains including Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Macchapuchchhre, Annapurna, Manaslu and Sisne, also set up a revolving fund of Rs 25,000 at the temple.
Hotel as per their choice is the main reason behind it.
The number of hotels, established focusing the devotees visiting the temple and tourists, has increased at the Swargadwari base camp, Bhingri, and premises of the temple in recent years.
A caretaker of the temple, Basudev Bhattarai, said with the increasing number of hotels and their quality, devotees and tourists have started extending their stay in Swargadwari area. He said around 200 tourists visit the area daily.
A Hotel Swargadwari Darshan Pvt Ltd has been established at Bhingri targeting the temple.
Hotel owner Tekraj Bhandari said he established the hotel after investing Rs 90 million focusing devotees.
Chairman of the Pyuthan Federation of Hotel Entrepreneurs, Dadhiram Bhandari, said around 500 million has been spent in hotel sector in the district in recent years.
More than 460 hotels of large and small scale are now in operation in the district.
