Kathmandu, July 3, 2018: ‘Art Mela-Children for Children’ organized by the Foundation of Nepalis (FONs) held on 30th June, 2018 at Rashtriya Nachghar, Jamal. Dipashma Baniya from Budhanilkantha School stood first in the art competition on the theme of SDGs.
Dinesh B.K. from Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya and Soniya Dongol of Occidental Public School won the second and third prizes respectively.
The art mela was organized by the Foundation of Nepali Society under the “Food for Education” programme that aims to sponsor lunch for primary school at Gorkha. Sustainable Development Goals was the theme for this version of art mela was the participants were selected through the application process.
Before the final round of the contest, the selected applicants went through an orientation on the SDGs and the programme. The top three winners from the contest will be participating in NCD child global art contest, said the organizers.
