Kathmandu,March 2, 2016: Buddhisagar, the author of the much-acclaimed novel Karnali Blues,  is currently on a nation-wide tour to promote his latest novel, Firfire, which was released earlier this year.

“We are very grateful for all the love that we have been receiving. All the cities that we have been to have been very welcoming and appreciative of my work. It has been very humbling to receive all the love,” said the author. “Even in small cities like Sindhuli and Gaighat, the reception of the people has been overwhelming. They have shown immense gratitude towards our team for holding such literary functions, which is a rarity in such small cities. We have helped, in a small way, to open doors for literary meets to take place in all parts of our country,” he added.
The author, along with a literary team, is currently in Itahari, and will be going to Chandranigahapur and Hetauda before heading back to Kathmandu on Thursday. They have already covered cities like Sindhuli, Gaighat, Ilam, Birtamod, Biratnagar and Dharan in the East. The team will then head towards cities in the West of the country after a short break in the Capital.
Buddhisagar, known for his simple, yet distinct Nepali prose, soared to popularity with his work of fiction, Karnali Blues, published in 2010. The novel, set in the mid-western Nepal, chronicles the story of a struggling family told through the eyes of a teenage boy. The author has also written a poetry collection titled Buddhi Sagar Ka Kabita.
