Kathmandu, 20 March, 2015 : The Nepal Dental Association today organised an awareness rally from Basantapur today on the occasion of the World Oral Health Day.

Inaugurating the rally, Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala expressed the view that there was minimal support from the government bodies in the oral health sector.

Koirala said quotas for dentists should be increased from the district hospital up to the zonal hospital, pointing out the need of taking the importance of the day in rural areas for the healthy life.

Similarly, Association Chairperson Dr Suprabhat Shrestha suggested to brush teeth twice a day with toothpaste along with fluoride and to visit dentists affiliated with Nepal Medical Council in case of any dental problem.

Association Secretary Subin Maskey also expressed his view.
The rally started from Basantapur and concluded upon reaching the same place after passing through New Road, Ratnapark, Jamal and Indrachowk. The Day is marked on March 20 every year.
