Kathmandu, February 23, 2017: Working as Angels (WAA), a youth-led organization working to empower Nepalese women, is all set to a motivational talk program named as The Awesome Women at the St. Xavier’s College Maitighar this March 4. The programme will have motivational women speakers from various backgrounds including Ms. Meghna Lama, Ms. Abhaya Subba, and Ms. Raveena Desraj Shrestha.
The Awesome Women is the first of its kind, all women seminar, and aims to celebrate sisterhood, uniqueness, and awesomeness in all women. Its main objective is to build a string network of women to promote the bond of sisterhood, tackle stereotypical thinking and to celebrate uniqueness and awesomeness in all women. Through The Awesome Women, the organizers are willing to bring forth the stories of rebellious women who went against all odds and created their own identities. These women are unstoppable personalities who did not allow their gender to come in between their dreams.
“The programme aims to create maximum impact and inspiration to the participating women of all age groups. Thus, the one-day event will feature strong and motivational female speakers from various fields including political, community, and business leaders, as well as leading educators, inventors, entrepreneurs, and television personalities,†said Shiwani Mananadhar, President of WAA. By using storytelling as the medium, this endeavor seeks to aware, inspire and guide aspiring young women in their way to empowerment, she added.
The program shall also feature a live solo performance by Sujeena Shrestha from Kramasha band.
Ticket price for the event is set at Rs 150.
