Gorkha,31 Jan 2015: UCPN (Maoist) senior leader Dr Baburam Bhattarai on Saturday alerted the backward communities towards the attempts being made to trick them again while drafting the new constitution.
Inaugurating the Agriculture and Tourism Promotion Fair held at Tatopani of Uhiya VDC in the northern part of Gorkha, leader Bhattarai said the political powers loving status quo were still against rights to ethnic people and backward community in the new constitution. He called for an agitation against such a conspiracy.
The leader reminded that the Maoists had led the people’s war and the uprising in 2005/06 by deposing the feudal monarchical system to transform the country so that the rights of all backward communities, ethnicities and languages could be protected and respected.
He further said conspiracy was being hatched to restore 1990’s constitution.
