Bangladesh Wins First ODI Against India by 79 Runs

Bangladesh, 19 June, 2015: Bangladesh stun India by 79 runs in the 1st ODI. After wining the toss, Bangladesh elects to bat and put up a grainy display and posted good total 307 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

Half-centuries from Tamim Iqbal (60), Soumya Sarkar (54) and Shakib Al Hasan (52) led the host the imposing total. It is the highest total against India.

In reply India got off to a quick start in their chase; Bangladesh pacers fought back strongly taking nine wickets between them with fabulous five-wicket haul on debut by 19-year-old Mustafizur Rahman.

They all out the tourists for 228 in 46 overs (Rohit Sharma 63).
