Gorkha, February 3, 2016: Internet services are now again available at Barpark in Gorkha district, which saw the massive destruction of lives and property following the April 25 earthquake.
Magsaysay Award winner Mahabir Pun and logistic support provided by Internet Society, an international organization are responsible for providing the internet service to this remote hilltop place Gorkha.
Wireless internet access has also been made possible at Barpark, Bhacchechowk in Hansapur VDC.
Pun has an aim to extend the internet service to other remote areas in the district. Â Pun says,”Locals have started availing internet service through mobile and computers. The installation of internet service has brought cheer to the locals in Barpark and Bhacchechowk.”
Barpark had as of now appreciated the web access preceding the April 25 shudder while this is the first run through web access is gotten into operation Bhachhechowk, technician Surya Subedi.
The locals here are elated after having internet access, said Jit Bahadur Gurung, a local from Bachhechowk. Gurung also mentioned “For us keeping abreast of happenings around the country and world has been through internet has been a source of happiness.”
