The first session, conducted by Mr. Dilip Bhattarai, founder of the American Corner Bhairahawa, was focused on effective speaking. He explained the basic requirements that a normal speaker should have at the time of speaking in front of a mass. He shared his views regarding the way of reaching out to the podium, things a person must do before starting a speech and the things he person should know and follow while speaking. He gave examples of the best public speakers including Martin Luther King, Barak Obama, Benazir Bhutto, Subhas Chandra Bose, Winston Churchill and Napoleon Bonaparte and how they impressed the crowds of people with their speeches. In the session, he also shared different stories meant to make the audience an effective speaker, the result of which was clearly seen at the 15 minutes long practice session itself.

The second session was mainly focused on effectively managing events and programmes. In the session, Bhattarai explained about procedures like planning, taking actions, administrative aspects, venue management, things to do 24/36 hours before the event and on the event day, and the day after. Sharing about the importance of planning, he said that good events are only the results of intense plannings. “Not planning things in advance leads to failure of the project for sure,” he added.

The programme also had a video screening session by the BNG production crew members, as part of which various genres of videos including prank, nature, beauty and awareness had been screened to entertain the participants.
