Kathmandu, March 14, 2017: The newly opened Office of the Department of Transport Management based in Jagati, Bhaktapur, has started distributing new smart licence from Monday.
The Department had operated the Jagati-based Office from January 15 and started renewing the driving licence.
Office Chief, Anoj Ghimire, said that the office has started receiving form for new licence from today. Ghimire said that written tests would be conducted at the office at 7:00 am this Friday and trial on Saturday.
The Department is to conduct the trial at its own centre after the order of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has banned the transport offices for conducting trail in private trail centres.
Ghimire said, “We have made arrangements for trial to issue driving license of the two wheelers at its own trial centre and trial centre of the National Trading Limited, Putalisadak, of the four-wheelers for the time being.”
