Bhojpur, March 30, 2018: Bhojpur District, which lies in eastern hills of Nepal, is declared as literate district after rising in the percentage of literacy rate.
According to the District Education Office (DEO), preparation has been started to declare that Bhojpur a literate district on April 08.
Bhojpur DEO Officer, Man Bahadur Devkota informed that the meeting of the Informal Education Committee on Wednesday took a decision to this effect.
The decision which was taken after the declaration, age group of 15-60 among the population the literacy rate has reached 96.43 percent in the district.
As following the DEO statistics, literacy classes are being worked in 110 places and around 1,650 people have been regularly taking classes in the district.
Chief Minister of Province-1, Mr. Sherdhan Rai will be making a declaration of on-going preparation of “Bhojpur- a literate district” in the middle of the programme at the local Tundikhel in the district headquarters.
