Bhaktapur, August 30: Naryan Man Bijukchhe, Chairman of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) said that Nepal should not agree India about the power trade agreement.
He said that Nepal would be harmed by the power trade agreement if it is made aimlessly. In an inauguration ceremony of 7th annual general meeting of the Madhyapur Thimi Saving and Credit Cooperatives Ltd. on Saturday, he addressed that Nepal should not sign the power trade agreement. He further added giving example that Nepal was buying electricity at 8 rupees while selling at rupees 2.
Chairman Bijukchhe condemned government for making preparatory agreement with India secretly.
On the other hand, he said that to encourage people for agriculture and entrepreneurship, cooperatives are doings its best.
In the program, Rameshwor Dhungel, Constituent Assembly member said that the cooperatives should focus and work more on service of people than profit.
Suman Shrestha, Chairman of Cooperatives showed the annual reports of cooperative in which the cooperatives made 4.4 million rupees profit in the last fiscal year.
This cooperative has reserve of 26 million rupees and 2.6 million rupees of capital share providing loan of 23 million rupees.
