Kathmandu, April 22, 2019: World DNA Day is celebrated worldwide on the 25th of April to commemorate the discovery of double helix structure of DNA by Watson and Crick in 1953 and the successful completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003.
So, this time Biotechnology Society of Nepal (BSN) is going to organize a two-day program to celebrate the World DNA Day 2019 with a purpose to aware the nation about life sciences and its impact with a collaboration with related and concerned partners and social organizations.
The celebration will include the audio-visual presentation of experts, scientists and policymakers, scientific march, award distribution to the Glorious contributors of the scientific community and the winning participants in various events – DNA model and art competition, essay competition, and presenters (oral and poster).
This event is aimed towards generating an understanding of the importance of Life sciences research and studies for the gross development of the country.
