Rautahat, 26 Oct 2014: It has been almost a month that different bazaars in the district have been witnessing short supply of cooking gas.

General public have therefore complained that the local gas dealers were creating artificial shortage of gas in the places, including Chandranigahapur, Garuda and Gaur. The local dealers were black marketing, argue the general public.

Despite drawing the attention of the administration repeatedly, their demand has gone unheard.

There are more than one and half dozen dealers of different gas companies. Most of them are not opening the gas depots but selling the gas cylinder secretly from home or store.

Moreover, the dealers, taking advantage of the festival occasions, are surcharging customers with Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500 to each cylinder of cooking gas.
