May 9, 2015: The Dhunche-Syafru road of the Pasang Lhamu highway which had been blocked due to landslides caused due to April 25 earthquake has come into operation since Friday evening.
Technical Officer at the Division road Office, Ganga Bahadur Shrestha said that with the use of dozers the blockade will be removed to join the 16 kilometers of Syafru-Rasuwagadi section to the border point with China from tomorrow morning. He added the road will come into operation from Sunday.
According to the District Natural Disaster Management Committee, it is not yet possible to reach in Kyangjen of Langtang by road so the food stuff will be reached to some 300 locals by the air.
