Bhadrapur, September 15 2015: Three police personnel were injured in separate bomb explosions in different churches in Jhapa district. The police said that three bombs were planted in churches in Gauradaha, Damak and Surunga.
Superintendent of Police Thakur Prasad Gyawali said that the bomb planted in Gauradaha Church is not defused yet.
Gyawali said that the bomb kept in Damak Church exploded at 11:30 last night but no human casualty was reported.
Similarly, Assistant Sub-Inspector Bednath Yadav, police head constable Bharat Karki and policeman Kedar Poudel were injured in the bomb blast while attempting to defuse the bomb planted in the church located at the premise of Surunga Police Post.
The injured are receiving treatment at the Birtamod-based B and B Hospital. Police said that an investigation into the group involved in bomb plantation is going on.Police said that the bomb, originally planted at a local church at Surunga of Kankai Municipality-3, was being diffused at the police station when it suddenly exploded.
Sub-Inspector Dev Narayan Yadav, Head Constable Bharat Karki and Constable Kedar Poudel were injured in the attack. They are admitted at B&B Hospital in Birtamod for ffurtherreatment.
Police had brought the bomb at the station after being informed about it by the locals.
