Two of the seven foundation pillars of the bridge had been damaged due to soil erosion leading to the closure of bridge for traffic five months ago.
The bridge had suffered a similar problem two years ago but that was reformed at an expense of Rs. 1.5 million.
But it has suffered the same problem and passengers are compelled to take the alternative route.
Efforts are being made to reconstruct the bridge and it is expected to cost around Rs. 80 million, said Chief of the Division Road Office, Kanchanpur Santosh Kumar Karna. RSS
