May 21, 2015: In a memory of late parents Ghale brothers of Shreeantu VDC of eastern Ilam has constructed a concrete bridge.
A bridge over the Siddi rivulet in between Shreeantu and Suryodaya municipality-5 has been constructed by the Ghale brothers of Shreeantu-4, Tapas in memory of their father Narayan Bahadur Ghale and mother Chandramaya at the cost of worth Rs 7 million. The bridge construction that began from 2014 November-end was complete in the first week of May this year which has made the locals easier for their movement to and from Samalbung, Shreeantu, Fikkal and district headquarters.
Subas Ghale said that the bridge has been constructed over the rivulet has 53-feet of length and 9.5 feet of breadth.The contributions of Ghale brothers were highlighted and Chief District Officer of Ilam, Basudev Dahal, inaugurated the bridge amidst a function on Wednesday.
